MSW 2012. First round of voting is over!

Crown voting button has been removed from our suites exactly at midnight 16/17. September, which means the first round of voting for Miss Stardoll World 2012. is officially over!
After 19 days of first round which I spent activly voting for my friends and all those who left messages in my guestbook, I hope most deserving Medolls will make it to semifinal and of course, I wounder did I, my sister and my friends make it trough...Ther is also one more dillema: Will Bosnia and Herzegovina have 20 semifinalist this year, or like last year, will only few Bosnians (if any) make it to next round as continental semis?
Results of first round are not published yet and I'm inpatiente...I hope Stardoll will publish semifinalist till end of todays working hour. Good luck to everyone!

Competition: Fashion Photography

Hello, Dollies!

It's time for some new activities , so I decided to host first blog competition.
As you see from post titel theme of competition is fashion photography. Show us your fashion sense and your artistic side!

How to enter competition?

1. You need to be fallower of this blog.
2. Than make a photo using Stardoll tools (camera) in your suite, or in chat-room (ex party), or in Beauty parlor, anywhere you want where Stardoll camera can be used. For your fashion photography you can use any camera effect you want (if you want it.) You need to show at least one doll on your entry photo, it can be your own doll, or some other doll(s), it's up to you, but only doll you CAN'T use as model for this photoshoot is my doll (lolika-1).
3. When you've done with your photo come back here and in comment section of this article post link on your Stardoll page, photo section, exactly on photo you want to use as entry for this competition.

Double celebration

Today is very special day for my Stardoll life. I have two reasons to celebrate, first is one month sense I started this blog and second is my 20th win for NCG of my country!

About blog "anniversary": One month is short period of time, I just started blogging and posted only few articles so far. I don't have ambition to make very famous blog, but writhing this posts and shearing some of my thoughts, impressions and ideas about Stardoll.com and fashion means a lot to me, and I'm excited every time I see number of visitors is increased sense last time I checked, LOL. So far people don't feel like leaving comments, but I hope that will change over time.
I'll keep working on blog, though it won't be updated daily, I'll do my bets to post at least twice a week. After all, there is always something going on on Stardoll.com that is worth attention.

About my 20th win for National Covergirl: What else can I say, than I'm happy, proud and grateful to all my friends and visitors who voted for me and I hope all this lovely and kind people will continue to vote for me. As everyone else, I love to see lots of visitors on my page every day and makes me really happy to see they keep coming to my Stardoll page and voting for me. In memoriam: Marilyn Monroe

" We are all of us stars, and we deserve to twinkle," Marilyn Monroe once said.

gurlshollywood2's interpretation of  Marilyn Monroe on Stardoll.

50 years ago - the world lost an iconic beauty, beloved actress and inspiring trendsetter.
She was only 36 years old. 86 years after she was born and fifty years after she died, Marilyn Monroe continues to fascinate, inspire and captivate; she creates interest, despite belonging to a different era.
 .
She was find dead on August 5. 1962. and  On August 8, 1962, Monroe was interred in a crypt at Corridor of Memories #24, at the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles. At her own funeral she was dressed in her favorite green Emilio Pucci dress.

On Stardoll we don't have  Marilyn Monroe dress-up doll, but famous MM have her influance on Stardollians. 50 years after her death we still care and love her, we still quoting her and she still inspire us.
I'we seen many MeDolls inspired by Marilyn, but here I'll represente one who impressed me most: Gurlshollywood and gurlshollywood2 (same person owns both account and she creates celebrity-look a like MeDolls). Her interpretation of  Monroe is so close to Marilyn's iconic look and so "alive" that is breathtaking! Her gurlshollywood2 account is an tribute to Marilyn Monroe. Dolce & Gabbana tribute store

To the store!

Now, let's see  Dolce & Gabbana Spring Summer 2012. fool Fashion Show:

Dolce & Gabbana is one one of my favorites brands and all this time sense Stardoll feature tribute stores, I was hoping they will open D&G tribute store. Now when they did opent it, I hope this collection won't be last one from this brand that Stadoll will feature.

Along with clothing Stardoll released two interiors, they are same as  Dolce & Gabbana's tribute store floors. Interiors are awailable in Suite shop.

When it comes to my impressions about this tribute, quality of graphic and sellection of chlothes stardoll picked to feature in Sarplaza, I'm pretty happy. Frankie Morello collection is still my favorite, but Dolce & Gabbana comes very close and it is definitly one of my favorites stores. I wish they could lunch some more chlotes (somehow two floors don't satisfy my appetite this time, LOL) and I think graphic could be better on some items. While DG Luxe Sequin Coat, Pom Pom Miniskirt and top, also Rosy Corset dress have exelant graphic, few other items from collecion seem to be a bit "fuzzy" and not so well detaild,  but all together I'm excitet to see Dolce & Gabbana tribute store in Starplaza.

Frankie Morello Tribute

Hot studs

After I spent a week on vacation on a sea coast and havent bean on Stardoll for that thime I returned home and checked what's up on my favorite site. As usual search trough Starplaza is most exciting part of my visit to Sardol.
I was happy to see new tribute store, and even happier when I saw style and quality of clothes and accessories. Lots of studed items and great graphic - finaly!!! Frankie Morello Tribute store is one of the best stores on Stardoll ever (so far)!
Shopping was great and dressing up my MeDoll in my new shopping trophies was even more exciting. I mixed and match hot new studed items with some old clothes in several "styles by room" (Style by roomis one of my favorites, if not favorite feature on Stardoll).
Some of this items will become my all time favorites and main pieces of my wardrobe.

I hope Fall-Winter season on Stardoll will be really exciting as Frankie this Morello collection.

Burak Uyan Shoes

Keeping pace with art!

Titel of this post might be also "Wishlist", or "I wish...", because Burak Uyan Shoes are something I really, really want...in real life AND on Stardoll.
I feel need to wright about fashion that I would like to see on Stardoll, aswell as I (occationally) have need to make reviews about things already seen and featured on Stardoll.

Shoes, especially those high heeld, are one of my fetiches. I believe shoes we wear are most important fashion and style stateman, shoes define style.

The fact that Burak Uyan was awarded with the Vivian Infantino Award for Emerging Talent by the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) officially confirmed the reputation of Burak Uyan as a fashion force in this modern industry.

Thanks to numerous collaborations with other worldwide-known fashion ateliers like Rodarte, Gaspard Yurkievich, Givenchy, Alberto Marani and Gimabattista Valli, Burak Uyan succeeded in building up a unique style realm. According to the designer, the main inspiration for his collections comes from “architecture and arts and crafts.”

Burak Uyan Shoes falling far from classic, the designs feature a highly detectable architectural look obtained through the use of multi-straps, innovative heel structures and unconventional chromatic mix/matching and fabric mix. Each shoe design seems to have something that catches the eye and that can be a great option for day to evening wear.

Millionaire Mansion

As announced few days ago, Stardoll introduced new Luxuty Suite - Millionaire Manison.
Price:  249 Stardollars.
We could guess something like this is on the way, as Stardoll reasently had discount on all previous Luxury Suites.
As introduction of this addition, new Achivement is added before this Luxury suite. Happy owners will along with award get additional 15 Starpoints.

Another adition: Purchase of all Luxuty Suites requires certain level, and you can't buy Millionaire Manison unless you are level 14 of higher. No worries for me!

Few more observations: Lately Stardoll adding new exclusive items and features like crazy! Limited Edittion and Luxury Suite in one week!! And last moth was featured 4 tribute stores and Antidote collection...I wounder what's next...and how soon it will come?!

I remember when Beach Villa and Alpine Chalet was first released, Stardoll gave spetiall offer - little lower price (149 stardollars) for those who buy Luxury Suites during first two weeks after introduction, and after initial period of two weeks price was set on 249 Stardollars. I was hoping it will be like that with all Luxury Siutes, but Stardoll decided not to do it with Millionaire Manison. Pitty!

I was more impressed by Beach Villa and  Alpine Chalet, but can't deny I'm tempted to buy Millionaire Manison too. Could be also Stardoll spoiled me with all those Luxury suites, so my expectations become too high. Ectually, I'm sure I will buy it, but I'm not in a hurry yet.

Update: I bought it and I love it! I finshed initial decorting, but I will make some changes and updates over time. I'm happier with my upper room, where pool is, I doubt I'll made major changes for some time on that one.

LE High Summer 2012.

New LE collection is available in Starplaza! At last!

There where tree glitches in this collection:

1. LE Plump Purse was released before the rest of the collection.

2. On last floor of LE store there is Endless Road Dress that cost 1500 sd, but SAME DRESS can be find in search for 150 sd. Depending on where you pick this dress you might pay 1500 (in a store), od 150 sd (in search). So be careful and make sure you shop in right place!!

Some members have allredy bought this dress for 1500 sd - most expencive LE ever!

3. Yellow purse visible on LE promotional picture is not available in store...yet!

For forst time  in Stardoll history one LE collection featured one LE outfit for mans, containing 3 items: Native Maks Sweater, Native Maks Pants and Native Loafers. Those are also rarest pieces in this collection, theres only 250 of each. Real Limited Edition!!

Update (1): Glitch with Endless Road Dress is fixed, it cost 150 Stardollars in LE store too.

Update (2):  LE Tassel Bag seen in Stardoll's advert for this season that was missing when collection first arived is arived in Star plaza now!

Update (3) : Interior used in LE store are awailable in Suite shop and they cost 75 Stardollars each.

  

My impressions and review about 14th LE collection

 

I'm not surprised about colors Stardoll chose for this collection: It's summer and  pastel and neon colors are hudge trend for this season. Graphic is quite good on most items, better on some and not so perfect on otheers, but generally it's well made collection.

A lot of items in 14th LE collection are inspired by Viktor&Rolf's collection for Spring/Summer 2012. but Stardoll altered many items, as they usually do. Those changes work well on some items, but ruined some of my favorites pieces of Viktor&Rolf's collection for Spring/Summer 2012, like Thread Cake Dress. Stadoll decided to make dress shorter and alter colors. Now, most of the colors they use in collection are fine, but color combinations on some items ruind those pieces!

Result:Some of the pieces in this collection are gorgeous, but some of them are, in my opinion, not worth of buying.

Mans outfit is very nice addition. I hope Stardoll will feature mans outfit  in feature LE collections too, boys need exclusive fashion to!
